4 weeks post-op. Incision is a bit bigger than the last aortic valve replacement done a few years back.
Recovery is a little slower than the last time. Grateful to the scientific and medical community for the advances in valve replacement surgery.
Kudos to Dr. Duke Cameron, Massachusetts General Hospital for giving me my life back for a second time.
Wow- What a story! Glad you are on the recovery side. Best wishes for a smooth recovery and healthy New Year!
glad you are on the recovery side..did you choose a tissue valve again or go with a mechanical one since your other only lasted 7 years?

Bioprosthetic aortic valve implant done in 2011 is moderately stenotic. What are the chances of survival for second time surgeries?

Been there...and just had TAVR for my 4th replacement. To answer your question, mortality rates don't really go up from first to second procedure.
