3 months after TAVI and signed off from the hospital in Brighton back to my consultant in Ashford (Kent). From a week after surgery I've walked between 3-4 miles each day with my dog. No longer breathless. My whole body regained warmth. I sleep up to 7 hours a night... Read more.

While an anxious wait from diagnosis last June, the TAVI operation in Brighton this week went like a dream. Admitted 4pm on Monday, discharged with only a nick in my groin and a brand new aortic valve, 4pm on Wednesday. And I have walked the dog twice since.. The new... Read more.
Very glad to hear all went well, Bob! I see the procedure didn't dampen your humor, laughter is the best medicine! Best of luck on your recovery journey 😊
Looking good Bob! Welcome to recovery ❤️‍🩹
You look great, Bob. I wish you a full recovery, gradually getting in shape and increasing your walks.❤️
Glad you still have your sense of humor. Congratulations on your successful TAVR. Walking the dog already, wow. You look great. Continued good health. 🙏❤️
So happy that your procedure was successful. It's so wonderful that we live in a time where we can have these things done to correct our faulty valves. Congratulations! 👍
Bob, I´ve got one from cow. Happens the same to me, I feel somehow guilty when eating a medium-rare steak and when make hiking and see so tender calves I throw them kisses😊
It's now Sunday and I have just completed a leisurely 3 1/2 mile walk along the seafront with Marley. While I still have no idea of the surgeon's name, I shall be eternally grateful to him and his team, for the new life they gave me....
Looking great, Bob! Congratulations on your successful procedure! Speedy recovery!!
Marley looks positively regal! Congrats on your procedure !!
Thanks for all the kind comments and encouragement. 2 weeks on and walking easily 3-4 miles a day and with an unfamiliar all over warm body. I genuinely wish the same for everyone still waiting for surgery. Good Luck America, I won't mention the tariffs...!

Well, tomorrow's the day and I'm sitting here at home waiting for transport to take me 100 miles to the hospital in Brighton. I've never seen the hospital nor met or spoken to the surgeon and team who should care for me. I just hope they have ordered a supper!... Read more.
Interesting to read you have never seen the hospital or spoken to the surgeon. I practically knew what toothpaste my surgeon used before my surgery. Lol. I think it was colgate.
Very interesting. God bless you on your journey! 👍
Thinking of you for your surgery. ❤️Sue
Hopefully he weather is nice outside and at least you have a scenic 100 miles ride. I hope you find the hospital, surgeon and staff all fantastic. All the best for a safe journey and prayers for your speedy recovery. ❤️🙏
I suppose the important is not to know the surgeon more or less, but rather if he is good and to have confidence in the surgical team.
Thinking of you, Bob. Hard to wrap your head around this surgery, because it is such a life saver and the outcomes now are excellent. The odds are way, way, way in your favor for a successful surgery.
Lifting you up in prayer for your successful surgery tomorrow. God bless you
Your kind and thoughtful messages from so far away for England were hugely encouraging and greatly appreciated. Thank you. Operation successful. Back home 3 days later. And a walk with the spaniel this morning (Thursday) ....
Congratulations 🎊🎈🎉 continued good health Bob. God bless you 🙏❤️
