Hi Marshall. I went with the On-X.

I will be 60 the end of April... i went with tissue valve. Didn't want to deal with Coumadin.

Marshall, yes, I had a mini-thoracotomy. It's definitely accelerated my recovery. If your are interested in this procedure, the only caveat is to make sure the surgeon is super experienced with it. My surgeon had over 3000 under his belt with excellent results so that's why I chose him.

Mike - Great to hear your back on this side and on your way to a speedy recovery! I know your pain with the drain tubes. I had four of those + the cath tube. Honestly, they stung a little coming out but boy oh boy I felt 1000% better... Read more.
