Hi Beth I had a full sternotomy. Each day gets better but I can shower,dress, and do my hair all by me self. I can get in and out of bed and a chair well. I have pain but it is manageable so different just 6 days out. I choked... Read more.

Tomorrow is 6 months since my bicuspid aortic value and aorta replacement. Cleveland was so good to me. Now I am back riding my bike and swimming! Start walking as soon as you can and don't stop. I'm pulling for you!

Thank you for the encouragement. I arrived in Cleveland today I have a full day of pre op appointments tommorrow and surgery Friday. It was hard saying goodbye to the kids and grandsons last night but I know this is where I need to be.
