Hi Adam, I would still consider myself having a â€œheartâ€ condition, even with good echo results following surgery. Rational is that I would be concerned that insurance company may say I had not fully disclosed my valve issue and deny converage should an incident occur. (but thatâ€™s just meðŸ˜ƒ)

In part I would consider what medication I needed on an ongoing basis. If nothing targeted to Just the prior heart surgery and the dr says looks great, I would probably answer no. But discussing with cardiologist is wise as theyâ€™d do paperwork to back you up if ever needed.

Hi Adam, I know how you feel. I too did not want OHS, however from the day I discovered I had a murmur to surgery turned out to be 5 years. I went to give blood and they told me no, because of a heart murmur...Hmmm, never had one before.... Read more.
