So, Dr. M did echo last year and said my stenosis level was 37. Dr. J said surgery not necessary at this time. Dr. D earlier this year said stenosis level is 19….ok….. Today, went back to Dr. M (insurance is a wild beast) and she is going to do... Read more.
Valarie, it sounds like you have interesting insurance but ask them if you can get another opinion from another doctor even if it is out of network. Sometimes the surgeon or doctor or hospital will push for something when it might not be the best option. You are going to... Read more.
❤️Thank you! I have been doing some research and it would seem that the policy for TAVR has indeed been changed to include lower risk patients! Wow! But! Bicuspid valves are still considered a high risk and must be evaluated carefully. Depends on the deformity and severity of calcification. Hopefully... Read more.

Vent all you want! You have a LOT going on, and I hope things ease up for you soon.

❤️ oh dear you have a lot of stress going in your life. Take a few minutes(or longer) to do some deep breaths and try to release some of that stress every day. I hope you find the support you need here and close to home.
Vent all you want Valarie. I’m sorry for your stepfather’s passing. It seems that you have a good primary that can help you with some of your health issues. Remember that stress is not good for anyone. If you can find ways to release stress, that will be very helpful.... Read more.

Update: still waiting on the report for the carotid ultrasound. I did ask my dr office to get a report and was assured I would receive it. Still waiting. I suppose no news is good news, huh? If there was something there they would have let me know. Right? I
