Well I’m over 4 months post surgery now, and part way through Cardia Rehab. At about the 3 month mark I was had a holter monitor for a week to determine if the Afib I had in the hospital was still gone. if so, I’d be taken off the blood thinners (which I was hoping for). The last day of the monitor I felt a couple instances of fluttering, and then for about a week it was off and on fluttering each day. I had an EKG which caught it, and my cardiologist thinks they are PACs and we should just sit tight for a few more month to see if this is just part of the irritation of the surgery / healing process. I was fine for almost two weeks, and then the last couple days the fluttering is back. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and if they did anything to manage it, or if it “went away” with time. Thanks in advance for any feedback / comments.

I’m about week 14/15 post Ross / Aneurysm Repair. While in hospital I developed AFIB which was corrected after getting me on amiadrone . I was taken off the meds an about a week after discharge, and I understand they have a long half life. In the last week, I’ve started to have a fluttering heart, and when I check with my Apple Watch it suggests Afib. I’m wondering if anyone else developed heart flutters / afib at a longer point into the recovery other than in hospital? I thought it usually corrected itself during the healing process. Hope someone has some insight :)
