I haven't posted for a while, but thought I would celebrate my 5th month post OHS, and my graduation from Cardio Rehab! I'm feeling stronger every month, and grateful for a healthy life. My cardiac Dr John is pleased with my progress & is weaning me off the Metropolol now. I had some episodes with double vision that was a mystery, but he thinks it might be the metropolol which makes my blood pressure so low (90/60), that is causing the double vision. I still have high heart rate (around 85 or 90). I still have sternal pain & take Tylenol for that. Other than that I'm doing well! I'm grateful to this website & Adam for all of your support! You are all warriors! ❤️ ❤️

I'm feeling very grateful to God for my progress in recovery from my mitral valve repair Feb 5th. I've been going to cardio rehab for 4 weeks now, & it is helping me to grow stronger & feel better. I actually forget that I had surgery occasionally. That's a great feeling! I did find out how much I rely on my soft adjustable bed & soft pillows at home! My nights at the hotel were miserable. I'm also still using Tylenol for pain. Walking in the heat and humidity is also hard! But I can recover much more quickly than before my surgery. I'm so grateful for each new day!
