Ten months ago I had mitral valve replacement and tricuspid repair with severe complications. Wanting to fly but have had problems on last 4 flights with low SATS at 86 and problems after with stroke, fluid retention.erratic HR and BP, I'm left with Afib post surgery. Hopefully the respiratory consultant can answer that question. I do hope that supplemental oxygen will be your answer so you can continue traveling. Please keep us posted!
Hi, Margaret. Sounds like supplemental oxygen is a necessity when flying with low SATS. Maybe that would help with HR and BP, too? I had to fly with afib and didn’t notice it being worse on the plane, but my low BP is frequently problematic and was advised to avoid... Read more.

I'm feeling I need TLC on this hard road, starting with a stroke February last year, breaking my spine twice when I collapsed,, then a TIA in Aptil last year after which severe mitral valve regurgitation was found. Then returning from a hospital stay a bump in the road broke... Read more.
You have been thru a lot margaret, sometimes the people around you have trouble adapting to your situation. Hopefully things improve with time and my virtual hug helps you. That afib may wane as time goes by.

Margaret, it’’s a difficult moment/phase in time. Hang-in-there. Perhaps seek counseling, even if virtual, if someone listening and guiding you can help.
Do you have a pastor or perhaps doctor who can speak to you separately and maybe help you both get on an even keel with this recovery? It’s healthy to ask for help. 💕
