I'm now finally getting nurses to return my calls and so the journey will start in March. I need to get the blood work before I get the cardio Caths - through wrist and neck. It sounds painful and I'm dreading it. This whole journey sounds like lots of needles... Read more.

I don't know anything about Cleveland Clinic, but the hospitals I went to didn't require someone to be with at preop and surgery. I went to my preop by myself and during my surgery the nurses told him to leave that he would be called wh.en the surgery was over.... Read more.

I now need to decide what procedure I want. Do most people still have the sternotomy or are more people going for the robotic procedure or the mini sternotomy? I was told that if the surgeon starts doing the robotic procedure and then sees that he can't repair the valve... Read more.
Hi Lynne, I had my valve repaired September 11 of 2015 via minimally invasive approach ( 2 inches incision on Rt side of your breast) and my cardiac surgeon told me that my valve was repairable but yes! Once the doctors go in and see that your valve can't be... Read more.
