Send Ed a NoteAbout Me
In August, 2013, I was diagnosed with mild Aortic Valve Stenosis by a local cardiologist; in 2014, low moderate; in August, 2015, moderate. Because I was having very slight chest discomfort when taking walks and when doing Wii-Fit activities, I decided to get a second opinion from a cardiologist at a teaching hospital in Chicago. In November, 2015 I was diagnosed with severe AV stenosis after failing a stress-echocardiogram because my blood pressure dropped during exercise, my AV stenosis was re-classified "severe," and aortic valve replacement was recommended to be done "soon." An angiogram December 23rd ruled out any need for by-pass surgery. Symptoms have progressed, so I'm looking past surgery when I anticipate better days.
