Ilias - Welcome! I would consider reaching out directly to the Cleveland Clinic to explain your situation. Reimbursement from American insurance companies and Medicare (for those over 65) varies significantly. If you let them know you're paying directly, they will likely be able to quote you a cost they're willing to accept. As part of my research, I considered a surgeon who wasn't covered by my insurance and was quoted $150,000 US dollars for a mitral valve repair. That's only for the surgery itself - there are several pre-operative tests that have to be performed before your repair. Be sure to inquire about those costs, too. I wish you the best of luck! ❤️
