Hi! I had my ohs Feb 2023 and I am still having pain in my right shoulder and arm. Is anyone experiencing this?
I had it for a couple of years. In an awkward position on the operating table for hours.
It’s a very common event for all that have had ohs. Richard is right. I had it for a while. Hope yours gets better soon. ❤️‍🩹🙏
I had pain in my left shoulder and arm. Went for several acupuncture sessions and it disappeared. I believe it is common to get that kind of pain because muscles and tendons are cut .
It seems a bit long to have this for some 1.5 years after surgery. But I would suggest some acupuncture. I didn't quite believe in it but I gave it a try and I think it helped. The place I went to also gave some "deep tissue" massage. I think... Read more.

I have a question I had OHS one year ago with tissue mitral valve and now diagnosed with osteoporosis. Does anyone have this on Warfrin and what treatment do you take.

My cardiologist is keeping me on Warfrin because of Afib. I would love to go off it but 3 months ago I went into Afib and thank God I was on warfrin or I would have had a stroke. I’m not sure if I should be on it though

Has anyone developed osteoporosis from Warfrin?
Yes! At least I think that was a big contributor. Went from mild osteopenia to full on osteoporosis in one year. I was also not able to do much resistance training during that time, so that may have partially contributed.
My ex has been on warfarin for decades. He tripped over a tree root in his yard, shattered both leg bones above the ankle, three surgeries... will never be the same. It's a vitamin K antagonist; K keeps calcium in the bones. You can consider asking about taking K2 MK4... Read more.
I was avoiding K but noticed after my surgery that the hospital-prescribed multivitamin included a high dose of K. It took more warfarin to bring INR in therapeutic range. Didn’t seem to make sense to take a lot of K and then negate its effect by increasing warfarin. So it... Read more.
