I met with the surgeon last Friday. I have severe regurgitation and my left ventricular is severely dilated. This surgeon is from Italy and they have been performing these miminaly invasive surgeries for years. In 98% of the time, it is a repair. I'm a very healthy 60 yr man with no other health issues. He said my risk factor was 0.5%. I'm nervous but just want to get it over with!
