Dad of two precious kids (7 and 10 years old) who I love more than I ever imagined. My wife is an angel and I'm blessed to be married to her. I had Aortic Valve Replacement at Cedar Sinai Medical Center. An amazing hospital, doctor and cardiac support team. Since surgery I returned to competition (in the 60 year old and above division-I'm 62 now) in the Men's Physique and Natural Bodybuilding. Physical culture is my passion. The aortic valve is doing incredible. Now I'm monitoring the mitral valve regurgitation that I've had for many years. Ultimately I'm probably going to need to have this valve repaired but hopefully in the distant future. This may sound a bit unusual but my experience with surgery and the time in the hospital was an incredibly positive experience. The rehabilitation was rapid and vigorous. Attitude is everything when preparing for surgery and the rehabilitation. Being focused and well prepared really paid off. This wonderful site and community were incredible throughout the process. I'm so grateful for the quality and gift of life being elevated with this miracle of modern medicine.
