Diagnosed with BAVD, severe regurgitation. I had no idea until my Doctor found a murmur during a checkup. I'm very thankful it was found. Cardiologist is doing tee probe in 2 weeks. She said she is positive surgery is 4-8 weeks out. Im nervous for the surgery, but more fearful of the waiting. I'm scared for my wife and three kids. Have an 8 week old baby which makes this diagnosis feel even more stressful. 42 years old, Seattle. UPDATE. I am now 51, moved to Arizona with my family on 7/3/24. Found out first week after move that I need a re-do aortic valve surgery, and aneurysms repaired. Surgery in two weeks!! I have not decided on tissue or mechanical valve yet! Any suggestions would be helpful. I hate the idea of being on blood thinners. I opted for a tissue valve for my first surgery. I have zero symptoms and go 15,000 steps a day
