I have never been sick in my life, always healthy and active. Went to the doctor for something else. She told me I had a very loud heart murmur. Had an echocardiogram and TEE, next thing I know I was scheduling an appointment with a surgeon. I never had any symptoms. But since being told I have MVP with severe regurgitation I noticed that my heart pounds very loudly, especially when doing weights at the gym and sometimes for no reason.
