December 2021 when I was diagnosed with RHD. I had 3 2d echo test to confirm, Dec. 23 at Asian Hospital, Dec. 31 at UST and January 31, 2022 at the Philippine Heart Center. There were 3 Cardiologist who examined and the result was the same, valve problem and not only one but two valves Aortic and Mitral. To fastforward the story, March 10, 2022 when the OHS was done at PHC. AVR and MVR were done and Inside my heart now are mechanical valves from SJM 19mm aortic and 25mm mitral. I take metoprolol 25mg for 1 month due to fast heart rate as high as 160bpm. It became stable April 14, and I did not take beta blocker. I am taking warfarin the blood thinner and maintaining INR at least 2.0 to 3.0, the ideal range. My warfarin is for life. I already return to office work, however I can’t concentrate like before due to my breastbone still in pain. Thanks to God for the 2nd chance at life. I learned to be patient.
