About Me

I had flipped into atrial fib after a run. I would not convert with meds and eventually required cardioversion. Follow up ECHO revealed a bicuspid valve and dilated aortic root. By CT dimensions my root was 4.9 cm. I had composite aortic graft and mechanical aortic valve (St. Jude) on 9/20/2011, this was done at Cleveland Clinic by Dr. Svensson. I am feeling well and getting stronger every week. I look forward to beginning to run distances again. I am adjusting to life on coumadin pretty well.
