About Me

I was in my 30's when my cardio told me that I had a mitral valve prolapse and needed an echo so that he would keep an eye on it ..I am 67 now and for the past 7 yrs I have been getting an yearly echo and found out in Dec 2016 that my aoritc valve is the one causing the problem not the mirtral as first suggested ...anyway it is now at a severe stage and needs to be replaced...My husband and I retired to in Henderson NV in 2006 < from Long Island NY...After some research we found out that NY Columbia Heart Valve Center is the 3rd best in the country for aortic valve replacment..we decided to have the surgery done there... I am on Dr.George schedule for April 7th one week from today...Also in early March we found out that my husbands valve had also progressed in a years time .....so my husband will be having the exact same surgery as me ... same hospital and surgeon as soon as I am able to take care of him ... probably 2-3 months after my valve replacement
