My name is Cindy, I had surgery to repair a coartation of my aorta when I was 7 years old and it was known that I had a bicuspid aortic valve. I have been going for years for my regular follow ups without asking too many questions. Now at 44 my doctor tells me I have moderate/severe aortic stenosis. So they watch me closer and it seems as what once seemed an eternity away to ever needing surgery again is now getting closer.
