I was born with a 4 cusp (quadricuspid) aortic valve that leaks. I was diagnosed in 2010 while still in college. Two years out of college it started leaking more severely onto my mitral valve and prevented it from opening properly. This in turn prevented blood from leaving my lungs properly. This caused me to feel out of breath while walking around. I had my aortic valve replaced Sept. 25th, 2012. That lasted 11 years. I had it replaced Dec 29th 2023 with a TAVR valve in valve. I am still in recovery as I was in ventricular congestive heart failure.
