Hi Joan, Re: bra query. My surgeon suggested that wearing a bra is a good idea post surgery as it holds everything together nicely and supports the sternum. However, I found that the bra pressed on the incision and was very uncomfortable. I preferred to wear the binder which the... Read more.

I woke up from surgery in a surgical bra. I pretty much wore one 24/7 after surgery to keep things together.

I was told front fastening cotton ones for 24/7 for 6wks, which is what I did.

I wore a sports bra that closed in the front that really helped. My doctor told me to wash my incisions and put vaseline on them.

wonder what i am going to do.....i have size J breasts.....doubt the surgical bras come that large. was hoping for a reduction....looks like that is also out of the question now too.
