Jill - Did they put you on any medication after you were discharged for the pleural effusion? I sent my doctor an email asking about the syndrome.

Yes! I'm on colchicine for at least 3 months and ibuprofen for at least another few weeks. One woman on the BAV facebook site has been on colchicine for 6 months, so I'm sort of hoping my cardiologist extends the course. I don't want a recurrence!
