Hello everyone on this wonderful site. I am due to have Mitral valve repaired etc. I am due to be admitted to Walsgrave Hospital, Coventry, England on Sunday March 5th, operation due on 6th March unless cancelled, already had 2 cancellations due to emergencies. NHS in bad way here at the moment. I was diagnosed with heart murmur in 1968 due to Rheumatic Fever as a young child. GP referred me to a hospital where I attended until 1992. I developed Atrial Fibulation in 2014; had ablation, AF returned last year; after all tests at Good Hope Hospital, Sutton Coldfield, I was referred to see Mr Patel, cardiologist at Walsgrave Hospital.
