3 months after aortic valve replacement, I am left with ventricular tachycardia, superventricular tachycardia, and arial tachycardia that I didn't have before surgery. Feel very dizzy, chest pain, and fatigued! Feel very down. Anybody went through the same thing? Thanks for any suggestions!
Linda, I'm sorry you are having these issues. Tachycardias are no fun for sure and I can see why you are tired and dizzy. I had bouts of Afib and Aflutter after my surgery to which my body acted aggressively. This happened for about six weeks. It was about 3... Read more.
Linda, sorry to hear what you are going through. I had mitral valve repair almost 6 months ago. The same evening I was discharged from the hospital I had afib (which I hadn't had any before my surgery) and had to be re-admitted to take care of it with medications.... Read more.
Yes, I had the same after my surgery and at one point I had to wear a Holter's monitor. it eventually just worked itself out.
Thanks for the kind comments! Love you a!! Went the ER and spent 2 days in the hallway by the nurses station. I finally left because I just couldn't take it anymore. Besides dealing with my arrhythmias, I had people around me with Covid. (Note: This is a heart hospital)... Read more.
Sorry to hear about what you are going through Linda. Will pray that these things leave your body and you start feeling better. God bless you
Oh, my! Is this your regular cardiologist? Have you tried going through your general practitioner? Sometimes they can get you in faster. Sending prayers that you feel better and get a faster check up. ~❤️
Thanks again everybody and I will take Patsy's suggestion and call my primary care! God bless you all!

I am 9 weeks post surgery and I am still exoeriencing an irregular heart beat and paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. I am very dizzy and my blood pressure and heartbeats v vary a lot/. Got an echocardiogram which was great report. I am getting a heart monitor andIhope I won't need... Read more.
This can be part of the healing process. I myself got a pacemaker about 2 weeks after OHS (I was still in the hospital). My heart never recovered its regular beat (it was way too slow). This happens in about 3% of cases and since I had double valve replacement... Read more.
I'm sorry you are experiencing these issues. I had a myriad of complications after my surgery, afib/aflutter being two of them in addition to fluid buildup around the heart and lungs. The Afib/aflutter lasted about six weeks and a pacemaker was discussed although I'm thankful I didn't need one. There... Read more.

I had my aortic valve doe and wished I never had it done! Nothing but terrible aches and Pais, floaters and continual flashing lights! in the eyes !
I also had the flashing lights (optical migraines, auras), and they gradually decreased with time. Don’t give up, they will get better...
Hi Linda, I also had the flashing lights and discomfort after surgery but as my dear Marie states they will get better, be patient and hang in there. Praying for you, God bless you
