The last couple of weeks in August, I had CT Scan, TEE, heart cath and bloodwork. TEE showed regurgitation is now severe. Mentally preparing for upcoming surgery but feeling encouraged by all the stories and positive thoughts on this site.
Chose a surgeon that has plenty of experience. But all in all, you seem to have the right attitude going into this. The surgery is pretty easy. Recovery is a bit harder. Check out the learning center to prepare for the recovery. I wish you all the best. https://www.heart-valve-surgery.com/learning-center.php
I’m a bit new to this as well also preparing for surgery for my severe regurgitation if you ever want to chat!
My surgery is October 5th for mitral valve replacement and tricuspid repair, due to severe valve disease, that is at Papworth Heart Hospital in the UK. I have found this group so helpful . I'm sure you will too. Wishing you a good surgery and recovery.
Thanks Robert! I will read the information on recovery.
Hi Lisa, when is your surgery? I’d love to chat.
Thanks Margaret! Praying you have a successful surgery!
Would you mind sharing what symptoms you had with regurgitation?
Woody, I get lightheaded/dizzy a good bit and also more tired after walking or golfing. Do you have any symptoms?
