I am now about 11 weeks post mechanical AVR and aorta aneurysm repair. Doing good in cardiac rehab 3x/week. Still with some fatigue but palpitations are mostly resolved and shortness of breath is improved. I would definitely recommend cardiac rehab! The energy level after exercise is amazing! Hmmm.. I hadn't even thought about the Coumadin and menstrual thing. I am not looking forward to having to sleep on my back (if I have to have surgery, I can hope) I am a side sleeper but I am sure that will be too painful for a while.
Kim, glad you are recovering well. Autumn, I continued to sleep on my side aside from the first few nights in ICU. You have to do what works for you.

The cat is on the mat. Funny how they do that, eh? Does your kitty like to get in boxes and bags?
She sees a box, jumps in, sits and looks cute. It could be the smallest box. Bags she would rather chew on especially if they are plastic...
OMG, I used to write a short column based on random phrase searches on Google, one of which was "my cat eats plastic" because a friend had a plastic-chewing cat. Way more hits than you'd think. I just checked and got over 6,000. That's way more hits than "my cat... Read more.
