Update on yesterdayâ€™s attempt to zap my A-Fib with cardioversion: The TEE showed a small something in chamber (not necessarily a clot) so they did not do cardioversion. Too risky. May not have been on Eliquis long enough. Just over a week. Go back in 3-4 wks to get another... Read more.

Hey, my fellow â¤ï¸ Warriors! Long time no post. Since my MVR/maze procedure in May 2018, Iâ€™ve been fine. Until the past week or so. High BP and pulse, fatigue, sweats. A visit to my cardiologist today confirms Iâ€™m in A-Fib and need a TEE and cardioversion procedure to get... Read more.

Jennifer - It's good to hear from you. I'm sorry to read about your Afib, though. I developed PACs and slightly elevated bp three years after my mitral valve surgery. I'm on meds to keep both under control. Keep us posted on your cardioversion. All the best! ❤️

Dear Jen, unfortunately this does happen, it is not uncommon, despite the MAZE. Our left atrium endured a lot prior to surgery and despite our valvular anomaly being corrected, changes in conductory system of heart were impacted by prolonged overwork and LA stretching...even on a microscopic level.
