Question for all: I have a bovine valve, and my cardiologist says it is now okay for me to switch to eliquis from warfarin. Has anyone done this switch yet? I was put on the blood thinner due to one incident of afib. Had my AVR 09/14/2014. Cleveland Clinic.

I am so sorry you are continuing to have problems. I myself had dozens and dozens of optical migraines (auras) in the weeks and months following my AVR surgery. They gradually decreased with time to where they are now a rare event. Just curious if one of the neurologists specialized... Read more.
