Looking for opinions - currently scheduled for SAVR (with full sternotomy) on May 20. The CT surgeon that was highly recommended is either on unexpected leave or left the area, so I am scheduled with a different surgeon who doesnâ€™t offer any minimally invasive options. My opinion is that if you qualify for minimal invasive surgery, I would do that, assuming you find a surgeon that has done plenty such surgeries. If it requires travel, so be it. You might have to stay at a local place for a week or so. And of course,... Read more.

I agree with Robert if you can go mini go mini. Again I am not a doctor but I had a mini and recovered quickly. When I was looking in to options one person said you travel for vacation then you should travel for your health. Many here have traveled... Read more.
