Yup, that happened to me. I. Am 5’5’’ and weight 105 lbs. there is a mathematical formula that takes into consideration body surface area and the size of the aneurysm (4.8 cm) My findings were over the limit, so my aneurysm was the driving factor in my surgery.
I also heard this discussed previous to my surgery. This is a chart from the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular surgery, I came across while researching. The article suggested height alone can indicate an estimation of risk.
Thank you both for your responses. Marie can you elaborate a bit on your surgery and recovery? I’m really extremely nervous and scared.
