About Me

I was diagnosed in 2007 with Bicuspid Aortic Valve and have been followed for it since. For the last 4 years I’ve been monitored for an enlarged aorta which is now at 4.5 but because of my small stature surgery has been recommended to repair it. October 1 of this year is the date of my OHS with Dr. El Hamamsy at Mount Sinai in New York City. I truly hope it goes smoothly. I have two kids, Olivia and Jules who have been screened and both thankfully do not have Bicuspid. I am 52 and hoping for everything to go well so I have lots of years left with my family and alot less worry about my heart.
