Well...2 years ago at this very moment I was being prepped at UCLA for open heart surgery number 4! Looking back on it...if I had to do it again, I would. Recovery was not all that bad and it's worth now being able to participate in life! So, to celebrate... Read more.
You'll breathe smoke free air there. Maybe run up the Filbert Steps?
Smoke free air is my objective. :). I may not be running until this bronchitis clears up. :)
Have a great vacation Jackie, and happy anniversary. 2015 is behind us!

Hi Jackie. Nice to hear from you. I'm more than 2 years out and I occasionally get heart flutters. I no longer take beta blockers, and my resting heart rate is pretty fast, but doctor says it's okay.... It's hard because one is so aware of one's heart after OHS.... Read more.
Jackie, you should push your doctor (Cardiologist, not your primary) to put you on a monitor for at least 2 weeks and 30 days seems to be the best in order to see if you are having afib. Afib can be dangerous and is often not detected. The danger is... Read more.

Hi there! It's been a while since I've posted on here. I'm a year and a half post op and doing fantastic! Off my Motoprolol completely, working out, running, etc. I do have a question for my fellow heart friends. My scar or just to the right of my scar... Read more.
