I am 47 years old. I was always active. I play ice hockey and table tennis. I am also running, doing 'boot camp' and 'core conditioning' classes. I was doing pull up exercises as well. Thus diagnose came to me out of the blue. One night after a workout I got an a-fib. Went to the hospital. They stopped it quickly and suggested to follow up with cardiologist. At cardiologist office they decided to run the ultrasound. There I was told that my aortic valve was leaking and my aorta is between 5-6 cm. I did not have any shortness of breath or other symptoms prior. I was told that surgery is a must and the sooner the better.
