I would like to connect with Ginny Turner. I just saw your story in the newsletter. I live nearby in Texas, and I would like to talk sometime.

I had my surgery Wednesday, July 14, 2021. After a slight hiccup requiring that I be rushed back into OR to stop some bleeding, I am doing great. I came home Saturday with no need for pain meds. My valve was too small for a bio valve, so the doctor... Read more.

Congratulations and welcome to recovery. Glad you are home now. I can’t help you with your questions as I had a bio valve myself. Hope our heart warriors step in and answer your questions. Be well and God bless you

I, too, went for a nice Italian meal the night before. I didn't have a glass of wine and the nurse in pre-op asked me why not. Apparently, I should have asked and enjoyed a nice glass to help me relax.
They say fruits and vegetables but i killed a cow and pigged out with no side affects. Probably safer to go fruits and vegetables though.
