Heres a question for all that have had wires removed or clipped after valve replacement. how long is the recovery. Are you thriving and glad you did it. Who is the right doctor to speak to confirm that the wires are the definite cause of the pain? cardiologist, surgeon ,... Read more.

I think it was Mia. My sister had wires removed because they were poking out. I know she is glad she did.

The sternal wires only bother me now if I do something that needs me to reach behind me or spred my arms.

Pain from sternal wires .. lots of conflicting opinions. I dont think i can take the pain .. but i really dont want to put myself through the trama of another surgery.. or procedure if not certain it will make things better.
