I’m hoping when the time comes to get my valve replaced using TAVR (still in waiting room) as I’m reading more and more positives on using this procedure. Were you considered low risk?
I had a TAVR 16 months ago. It truly is a remarkable procedure. I was home in less than 24 hours. I still cannot believe how awe inspiring it was. Best wishes.
This is truly a miraculous procedure....my next surgery will be this type of surgery once my newly implanted bovine valve wears out ( in about 12-15 years) Keep us posted!
Karen, were you in the low risk catergory. Reason I ask is that after the low risk trial data is presented in March, its expected TAVR will be approved for everyone sometime late 2019.
No, I was intermediate risk. I am now 61 and am betting on science for my future. My heart hospital was one of the first involved in TAVR. I hope it is approved for everyone. I'm sure not every TAVR goes as planned, but I am thankful I was approved... Read more.
