Had an aortic valve replaced in January 2017, all went great. I tripped and fell in June 2017 and broke my arm. Depression has set in, as much as I try to stay positive, thoughts creep in and the heart starts to race. I do have a few heart problems... Read more.

Betty, I agree with Julie!! Yes, it's tough to say " I need help"". Society has placed soooo much stigma on depression, etc. if you thought you had diabetes, asthma, etc..you'd ask for help in no time!! And yes, our bodies and minds have sure walked a tough road. I'm... Read more.

Three months today since my Aortic valve replacement, couldn't feel better, have been running and bowling. Hope everyone out there has the same fantastic results I was blessed with. Kudo's to the great heart team at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, the best care ever.

How old are you? Hoping to get the same results but I am 75 and very active-still teaching second grade full time. Surgery will be in May in hopes of being ready to teach again in the fall.
