After a scare in 2022 and close monitoring, it's finally time to replace my mismatched bioprosthetic valve from 2019. I feel blessed that I get to work with Dr. El-Hamamsy at The Mount Sinai Hospital to have the Ross Procedure done. If anything, I feel relieved to start this next... Read more.

Hit that one month mark today. Feeling pretty good, with some minor pain and discomfort across my sternum, all normal. Vitals are good, and I've been out doing hikes and enjoying the weather before it gets really hot. Enjoying seeing everyone's stories, and sending positive thoughts to all of you... Read more.

Had the first of my followups this week - everything looks good! The biggest issues that I've had this week was the continuation of morning headaches and an issue where hives suddenly showed up all over my body! Had several tests done and the cardiologist wasn't too concerned saying that... Read more.
Hi Alan, I'm so glad hear that you are doing well and cleared the 2 week checkup. I just scheduled my first appointments in 4 weeks.
Great news, Alan! I agree that sneezing is no fun! I hope the headaches disappear soon, I had one for all 5 days that I was in the hospital and then it just disappeared. I’m hoping you’ll be feeling better each day.
Sorry about the headaches. I've had vascular headaches off and on since OHS, often in the morning. They come and go and don't last that long, but it would nice to not have them!
