I was diagnosed with a moderate heart murmur 5 years ago. In October I had an Echocardiogram that showed severe damage to my mitral valve. I am scheduled for mitral valve repair or replacement on January 5, 2022. I would love some feedback on what it is like when you wake up from the surgery. What it is like to be in the ventilator and what to realistically expect the days after surgery.
