Send Rosemary a NoteAbout Me
As a young child I had experienced severe chest pain and blacked out. I was subsequently diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve. I went about 40 years was not followed by anyone until I saw my primary care doctor at a physical who listened to my heart and inquired about my murmur. Via testing it was determined I had a mild stenotic and moderately insufficient bicuspid aortic valve. I was followed yealy and it was determined that the ascending portion of my aorta was dilating. My aortic valve has held but the ascending aorta has dilated to 4.9 cm. I will meet with my cardiologist for my biannual checkup in August. I exercise and am active and think I am asymptomatic.
