My diagnosis is broken chordae tendineae in the mitral valve requiring surgery to repair OR replace the valve. Surgery was scheduled for 15th June but had to be cancelled at the end of a day in the waiting room. Date now 'to be advised' The surgery is now rescheduled for Monday June 19th, and with another surgeon, which is fine with me. Hoping this appointment proceeds as planned although I do appreciate that others in dire straits may need to take precedence. If necessary a back up plan is for Tuesday June 20th.
