52 year old male….I was diagnosed with several mitral valve regurgitation this past summer and went under the knife October 20th at St. Joe’s/University of Maryland. I was a candidate for a minimally invasive approach and a repair (vs. replacement). Both were done and I was discharged within 2 days. I am back home now recovering. As an active lifetime endurance athlete (cycling, running for the last 40+ years) one of my priorities includes returning to a level of consistent physical activity (hopefully) close to what I was doing before!
