Rhuematic fever at age 12. Almost 69 now. A-fib first diagnosed 04/2022. Severe left atrial enlargement. Treated with cardioversion at least 3 times since, ablation 03/2024. Coronary artery disease treated with angioplasty & 3 stents 04/2024. Very strong family history of coronary artery disease. Presently worsening heart failure since 04/2024 and worsening severe shortness of breath, worsening exercise intolerance. Diagnosed with rheumatic mitral valve stenosis with insufficiency. So thankful to have found a surgeon and team who agrees to replace mitral valve with a porcine valve, complete the Maze procedure and left atrial appendage closure so I can carry on and achieve optimal heart health and improved quality of life. ❤️❤️❤️
