I had a heart murmur my whole life, and after years of monitoring with echocardiograms, my cardiologist told me it was time to have it fixed. In 2017, I went to the Cleveland Clinic and had robotic mitral valve repair surgery. Unfortunately, my valve continued to deteriorate, so I had another surgery, this time open heart, last April. At just about a year out, I'm exercising at full capacity, playing tennis, hiking and feel better than ever!
