Send Norma a NoteAbout Me
I am 62 years old and facing my first heart valve replacement surgery. To say I’m nervous and scared is an understatement. It seems to be all I think about and worry about. I’m worried for my family, the surgery itself and the eventual outcome. With all that said, I know this is something that need to be done, and now that the surgery date is getting closer, I find myself second guessing it all. Just nerves I’m sure.
I had Rheumatic Fever as a child which caused my heart valve damage. I’ve decided to go with a pig valve to replace the Mitral valve and my tricuspid valve will be repaired. I joined this website in order to get more info on the procedures and recoveries from people who have actually been through it. So I’m grateful for this site and looking forward to learning about everyone else’s surgeries.
