Ten years ago (2007), I was diagnosed to have RHD and AFib. I was supossed to have PTMC done but my TEE showed I have left atrial thrombus. So I was transferred to the list for open-heart surgery. Took a while, but thank God, I finally had my surgery on Feb 27, 2017. My mitral valve was replaced with a prosthetic one. My tricuspid valve was repaired. They tried to fix my AFib but failed and the thrombus I had was cleared. I am currently experiencing numbess and pain at the same time around my incision and left breast area. I am active but try not to keep moving too much. Even till now I cant believe that I went through all of that. But I am looking forward to going back to being normal and able to do more.
