About Me

June 2018, my husband, sister, niece and I decided to train for a half-marathon. I wasn't feeling right training, getting light headed and easily winded. I decided to get a physical, since I hadn't had one in quite some time. During the physical the Dr noticed a murmur. Since I've never been told I had one, an echo was scheduled. The echo revealed moderate-severe aortic stenosis and moderate aortic regurgitation. Off to a cardiologist I go! After a Stress Test, TEE and Cath it was determined I am also bicuspid and my aorta is at 4.3 cm. (my arteries are at least clear!) I'm now being checked every 6 months to see how things are progressing. I'm glad I found this site, it has been both inspirational and informative.
