About Me

Hello Heart Valve Surgery world! I was diagnosed with Severe Aortic Stenosis on july 5, 2019. It shouldn't have been a big surprise since my mother had the same operation in March of 1994, but, in fact, it was a shocker because I feel so good, However, asking myself, do I think I feel good because this stenosis happens over time? Maybe so.... In any event, we have spent the last 3 months preparing for the surgery that will occur a week from this Friday. I am grateful for a loving supportive hubby that has been amazing throughout this (but the fun is just beginning, eh?) and equally as supportive and kind family and friends who have offered their prayers and concern since my diagnosis. Wish me luck HVS team! I will be checking in throughout this ordeal.
